The Free Store provides food and clothing assistance to Ohio County residents. Hours of operation are:

- Thursdays 4pm-6pm
- Saturdays 11am-1pm

Rising Sun Church of Christ has partnered with Purdue Extension to provide a community garden. Everything grown in the garden helps provide the Free Store with healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables.
